You are responsible for the Department of Defense Awards Program

Dear George:

A reminder, as the commander-in-chief, you are responsible for the Department of Defense Awards Program. Your refusal to denounce the swift boat veterans attack against a decorated veteran is proof of your involvement. As the commander-in-chief, you have no choice but to back the Defense Department's Award Program. Without your refutation of the swift boat veterans slurs, the service members that have served and are serving now under your command, those that have or will receive awards, will find themselves in a position the same as Senator Kerry -- an award that does not the backing of the commander-in-chief.
