Scalito

Dear Mr. President,

My family and I are rejoicing today as we heard you over the radio for the appointment of Samuel Scalito as a successor to Justice Sandra O’Connor. Our hopes and aspirations have been renewed for the Highest Court in the Land and for the men and women who are privileged to serve in our troubled and uncertain times we are living in.

From within the unmistakable hand of God’s presence in the recent hurricanes, and from without the ongoing war put all of us to ponder what will be next. As we look the Biblical accounts we find comfort and consolation.

In 2 Chronicles 7:14 the promise of the Lord comes as a hand writing on the wall: “If my people which are called by my name shall humble themselves and pray, and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will forgive their iniquities and will heal their land.”
